KENNESAW BUSINESS ASSOCIATION: Climb Aboard! With over 300 members, the KBA has been around for over 30 years. Monthly luncheons are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Kennesaw State University Center on Busbee Drive. Buffet lunch begins at 11:30 am and costs $15 for members and $20 for non-members. Alive After Five is an evening mixer held on the third Tuesday, and the Wake-up KBA morning mixer is held at the Trackside Grill on the fourth Tuesday of selected months. MARIETTA CIVITAN CLUB: The Marietta Civitan Club is a volunteer organization dedicated to serving individual and community needs with an emphasis on helping people with developmental disabilities. MOTHERS AND MORE: The West Cobb Chapter of Mothers & More, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of mothers through support, education and advocacy. We address mothers’ needs as individuals and members of society, and promote the value of all the work mothers do. We offer many opportunities for our mothers to have some "me" time while bonding with other mothers. We also offer playgroups for moms and their children. JEWISH CONGREGATION AHAVAT SHALOM: Congregation Ahavat Shalom is a Reform Jewish Congregation serving the Northwest suburbs of Atlanta and its surrounding communities. STORY TIME AT TOWN CENTER AT COBB: Town Center at Cobb welcomes children to cool off this summer with a new storytime event hosted by Conductor Bob of the mall's own Peachtree Express train. This FREE storytime will take place every other Wednesday, and feature a story reading, a prize wheel and other fun activities. FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK/JAZZ FRIDAYS: Art Walk is a free self-guided tour of the Marietta Square's eclectic art scene. Galleries, museums, cultural venues, restaurants and boutiques host artists within their businesses from 6pm to 9pm on the first Friday of every month, rain or shine. Look for an official Art Walk banner in the window to identify the participating venues. Choose your own route, or begin from our Art Walk Headquarters tent in Artists' Alley. KENNESAW FARMERS MARKET: The annual Kennesaw Farmers Market is open for business from 7am to 1 pm at 2753 Watts Drive (Adams Park Soccer Field Parking Lot). The Market will then be in operation every Tuesday through the end of October. Sponsored by the Kennesaw Downtown Development Authority (KDDA), the Farmers Market will feature a variety of vegetables, fruits, herbs and plants grown by local farmers, as well as baked goods, jams and jellies and other locally produced items. KENNESAW OUTDOOR MOVIE SERIES: The City of Kennesaw and B98.5 present the Summer Outdoor Movie Series. The July movie is TBD July 10th, at Swift-Cantrell Park. Admission is FREE. For the best seating, arrive early (after 6pm) and bring your blanket or chairs. There will be free inflatables, games, face painting and plenty of giveaways. Food and beverages will be available for purchase on site. The movie will begin at dark. GLOVER PARK CONCERT SERIES: The place to be on the last Friday of every month, now through September. The concerts are free of charge with a limited number of tables that can be reserved. Reservations for tables are on a first come first serve basis and may be reserved the first working day of each month. July 30th, brings Bayside (RB and Beach). Bring a picnic dinner (beer and wine are permitted). Join others and participate in the table or blanket decorating contest sponsored by Coldwell Banker West Cobb. NORTH COBB JUNIOR WARRIOR FOOTBALL: North Cobb Junior Warriors will be holding registration for the 2010 Football season at North Cobb High School on Saturday, July 17th and Saturday, July 24th from 9:00am until 12:00pm. The North Cobb Junior program is a member of the Georgia Middle School Athletic Association which consists of 32 teams throughout North Georgia. Practice will begin on Monday, July 26th. NORTHSTAR CHURCH GIRLS NIGHT OUT: The Women's League of Northstar Church invites all ladies to a girls night out! PIGS & PEACHES BBQ FESTIVAL: The City of Kennesaw is hosting the annual Pigs and Peaches BBQ Festival on Friday, August 20th, and Saturday, August 21st. The festival features plenty of great barbecued meats as well as great desserts and live entertainment. Kids will enjoy the large Kid Zone and families can enjoy the numerous vendors and exhibits. The Festival includes a Georgia State Championship Barbecue Cookoff, including over $14,000 in cash and prizes in an event sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society.
