CLUBS & CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS

KENNESAW BUSINESS ASSOCIATION: Climb Aboard! With over 300 members, the KBA has been around for over 30 years. Monthly luncheons are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Kennesaw State University Center on Busbee Drive. Buffet lunch begins at 11:30 am and costs $15 for members and $20 for non-members. Alive After Five is an evening mixer held on the third Tuesday, and the Wake-up KBA morning mixer is held at the Trackside Grill on the fourth Tuesday of selected months. MOTHERS AND MORE: The West Cobb Chapter of Mothers & More, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of mothers through support, education and advocacy. We address mothers’ needs as individuals and members of society, and promote the value of all the work mothers do.  We offer many opportunities for our mothers to have some "me" time while bonding with other mothers. We also offer playgroups for moms and their children. MOMS Club: Ever feel like you’re the only mother who stays home? You are not alone! Come meet other at-home mothers at the MOMS Club! We are an international nonprofit organization for the at-home mother of today! Chapters have monthly meetings with speakers, park play days, holiday family parties, outings for mothers and their children, and activity groups like playgroups, arts and crafts, a monthly MOMS Night Out, and babysitting co-ops. We also do service projects to help needy children. Our activities are during the day, when mothers at home need support, and mothers may bring their children with them to our activities. THE ALLATOONA QUILTERS GUILD: The Allatoona Quilters Guild meets at 10 am on the second Tuesday of every month at the Roberts School Community Center, 4681 School St. The guild, formed in 1982, is dedicated to promoting the art of quilting by teaching new techniques, sponsoring workshops and exhibits, and encouraging new quilters. JEWISH CONGREGATION AHAVAT SHALOM: Congregation Ahavat Shalom is a Reform Jewish Congregation serving the Northwest suburbs of Atlanta and its surrounding communities.
