CANDLELIGHT VIGIL: The National Alliance on Mental Illness – Cobb County (NAMI Cobb) in partnership with AKA Rho Zeta Omega Sorority is hosting a community forum on suicide prevention awareness and a candlelight vigil at the Marietta Square on September 21, 2017 in observance of National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm Speakers Panel Forum in the Marietta City Council Chamber at 205 Lawrence Street. 8:30 pm to 9:00 pm Procession to Glover Park for a Candlelight Vigil to remember our loved ones who have died by suicide and honor those who live with a mental health condition. DINNER AT THE DEPOT FOOD TRUCK RALLY: Every Monday through October, Kennesaw’s Downtown Development Authority is partnering with local food trucks in Kennesaw’s Depot Park, from 5:30 to 8:30pm, weather permitting. GLOVER PARK CONCERT SERIES: The Glover Park Concert Series features local and national acts on the last Friday night, through September on the Marietta Square. The concerts are free but if you are looking for a “front-row seat,” a limited number of tables can be reserved for a fee. Table reservations are taken on a first come basis (and will sell out quickly) on the first working day of each month beginning at 8:00 a.m. Blankets are welcome in the park but no personal tables are permitted.
